yerba mate

As a person who doesn’t drink coffee, it is quite hard to find a good tea that gives just the right amount of energy. This tea not only tastes amazing but also gives that kick I need for early mornings.
Highly recommend this if youre looking for an energy related tea.

I bought several of the 2 temple taster teas, as I wanted to drink more tea in general. This was probably the one I was most excited to try. However, I was slightly apprehensive whether I would like this tea or not, since it can be polarising. The smell is the first thing that hit me when brewing this tea - it’s a strong earthy, almost tobacco like smell that was slightly unpleasant. I know this is a characteristic of this tea so I knew to expect this. Now, the tasting experience was a sort of rollercoaster, I couldn’t decide whether I enjoyed it or not. The first note is a deep, pungent smokiness that sweeps the mouth; pretty overpowering really. However, the second note is a mellow, herbal like flavour (similar to green tea) that balanced out the smokiness. Both combined, it was actually a nice flavour that I enjoyed. Overall, I would recommend this tea to whoever wished to try, but if you dislike pungent smoky flavours, this is not the tea for you.

Has purchased a few 2 temple boxes of your teas to try the different flavours & this is the first one tried, very pleasant to drink and the bitterness is very subtle, can’t wait to try the rest

Absolutely love my Yerba mate tea. I’ve been looking for this for a while after having Yerba mate in Spain and delighted to find this on tea pigs. Definitely will get again! Great tea, great price- my new tea to start the day! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys green/herbal teas

Tastes like garden sweepings with a hint of Jeyes fluid! Best avoided in my opinion.
